Can you eat 10 chillies in 1 min 43 sec?

This International Accountants Day in Singapore, the SAC, CPA Australia and ISCA are organising a carnival-like event, bringing together the Accountancy Sector to celebrate the diverse roles of accountants. One of the activities will be the chilli-eating competition, where participants can get their change to write their name into the Singapore Book of Records, if they can finish 10 chillies under 1 minute and 43 seconds! The video showcases SAC CE, Uantchern Loh, gamely trying his hand at finishing 5 chillies at a go (with no water)! See you on 6 November 2014 at Event Square@Marina Bay!

International Accountants Day 2014

In its third run, IAD 2014 was a colourful gathering, thanks to various corporate colours and the stunning backdrop of the CBD skyline. We thank everyone for supporting and learning more about the charities there as well as submitting your selfies for SG50! We also challenged the chilli-eating record and once again sealed our place in the Singapore Book of Records!

Mr Ong Woon Pheng (Partner, CAS Consultants Pte Ltd), a Financial Reporting Professional Development Workshop Facilitator for the Singapore QP, also gave insights on his role as a facilitator and the value that he sees in this programme for future Candidates!

Interview with PwC on module interchangeability

PricewaterhouseCoopers will be sending 5 Singapore QP Candidates over to Australia for secondment this June and owing to the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) for module interchangeability, they can now continue their Chartered Accountant journey with CA ANZ.
